Style at Any Age | Menswear Inspired

Much of the time, I wear tonal colors and very clean-lined clothes as a backdrop for my jewelry. I try and choose pieces that looks pulled together and sophisticated without much fuss.  But there are times when I just want to be casual and for me this means mixing in unexpected pieces of clothing and combining delicate and bolder jewelry. I have always loved menswear…patterns, textures and the crispness of a navy and white striped shirt. So, some days for work, I take a page out of my years in college when I borrowed my boyfriend’s shirts, and snag a button down out of my husband’s closet.  I find the best way to wear these oversized shirts is tied at the waist with a pair of trousers and turtleneck and to complement the look by wearing one of my husband’s vintage watches. There is something sexy and timeless about wearing your guy’s clothes and timepieces.

 

 

Jewelry-wise, you can  offset a larger more masculine watch with thinner bracelets and I like to do this with MRK’s poesy bracelet collection (which by the way I wear every day and never take off).  They have the same and similar sayings to the poesy rings and are engraved underneath the thin ID like band. The empowering message is rubbing on my wrist, which I love!  They are available in silver and gold with and without gemstones. It gives a lot of good vibes for my day!

Today I added the white gold and diamond Marilyn pave link bracelet. There is nothing like having some fun, experimenting and being as creative as possible as long as you feel comfortable and confident.. We can have style at any age.
