As a brand that embraces meaning, inspiration and empowerment we have always been drawn to animals from both land and sea as a source of imagery for our designs. Animals embody so many uplifting themes that date back to our earliest tales and fables, making them a natural design platform for empowering jewelry. One of our very first designs at Monica Rich Kosann - in the first two years of our brand before we even introduced jewelry - was a sterling silver photo case with a charming and playful salamander. In that spirit of amphibians and reptiles, snake rings and snake charms are both jewelry motifs that have existed for centuries and we have always been intrigued by their history. That very history was behind our Never Fear poesy ring style, and the resulting snake necklace has been a foundation of that collection since we first launched it. Animals are found throughout our poesy necklace and charm necklace collections and all have unique designs and meanings. Our bee necklace is not an ordinary bee, but rather a Queen Bee. Our fish necklace evokes an Art Deco motif and stands for perseverance as we love the idea that fish only swim forward. Our octopus necklace is made with tentacles that actually move gently as you do and denotes intuition, a nod to the intelligence of these fascinating creatures. Our various owl necklaces celebrate the wisdom of these wonderful birds. Throughout our ring collections you will also find a variety of animals to choose from. Our lion ring, inscribed with courage inside the band is one of our favorites, as is the octopus ring again inscribed with intuition.
