What is a Poesy Ring Necklace and how did we create this collection? %expanded-mobile% The idea first started for us around Poesy Rings themselves, when Monica discovered them in while rummaging through a flea market in the United Kingdom a number of years ago. Poesy Rings were rings that bore inscriptions of love, friendship or endearment and dated back to the 1400’s. Those inscriptions were known as “Poesys”. We found the idea of the Poesy Ring so inspiring that we just had to make them new and modern again. %expanded-desktop% Monica had also always loved how women would often wear their family heirloom rings on a necklace chain, creating their own unique personalized jewelry. And it was with that idea in mind that the Poesy Necklace was born. Just like many of those hundred-year-old styles, we created a collection of sterling silver poesy rings, starting at $60, that – like all our Poesy Rings – had inscriptions inside of empowerment, love, sisterhood or friendship. This collection of silver poesy rings was combined with an extensive collection of 18K gold Poesy Rings, to create the complete collection of Monica Rich Kosann Poesy Rings.
