Our hands are a blank palette that are just waiting for us to create a special fine jewelry story. For centuries, stacking rings have been part of that story for women, whether by design or by custom.

While the formal history of stackable rings might be a young one, these rings have always been storytelling pieces for a woman, particularly when they held secret engravings. These engravings were a hallmark of Poesy Rings which date back to the 15^th century. Poesy Rings bore inscriptions, or “poesys”, of love, romance and friendship, and were exchanged regularly between men and women. If worn in multiples, they of course would become the perfect gold stackable rings. If one were wandering the flea markets or antique stalls in the UK, it would not be surprising to find a silver poesy ring as well, so in that sense more than one worn together could become a sterling silver stackable story.

A number of years ago, we introduced our collection of Poesy Ring necklaces, where customers could create empowering and inspiring stories through the selection of our Poesy Ring styles coupled with various necklace chains. The popularity of this collection inspired us to introduce a new collection of Poesy Ring Stackables in both sterling silver and 18k gold. All of the rings are inscribed with words of empowerment, friendship or love. They are designed to be mixed and matched as they empower us to celebrate the ever-changing stories attached to our daily journeys. We encourage mixing the gold and silver styles, using the enamel styles to bring pops of color, and adding two or three together while also spreading them apart as midi rings whether the size and fit allows.
