Beyond the hoop earring, one of the most popular earrings is the simple huggie earring style.

Some huggies have larger scale and interior circumference and can sometimes also be referred to as hoops, or huggie hoop earrings. The huggie is probably best know as a small earring in 18k gold or sterling silver, that has a beautifully designed form to "hug" the earlobe, and creates a simple everyday earring look.
