If one thinks about the ear as a personal artistic canvas, stud earrings are one of the paintbrush strokes that serve to decorate that canvas. Like small pointillistic elements, the stud earring can be a foundational piece for one's earscape.%expanded-mobile%

Within the range of stud earrings, there are four key types we love that create a heroic or varied, layered look.%expanded-desktop%

For many, it begins with a diamond stud earring. Whatever the size of the diamonds – and one-half to two-carat stud earring looks are common – the diamond stud can be worn on its own, or be a glimmering point of light that anchors any look. When we incorporate diamonds into a stud earring style, we always want to use our superior grade of diamond, but we also like to opt for more fancy cut stones, which while more expensive, provide a unique look that sits apart from the traditional round diamond stud. Right behind the diamond stud earrings are gemstone stud earrings. These will incorporate both faceted and cabochon gemstones, which might include sapphires, emeralds, and aquamarines, and in our styles, we try to pick superior and unique gemstone shades that will stand apart from the everyday shades commonly found in similar gems. Gold stud earrings are another approach to an everyday look, and all of our gold stud earring styles use 18k gold, to provide more gold in each piece. The gold stud earrings can be solid gold or can be accented with gemstones. Our small crescent moon stud earrings for example have diamond accents for just the right amount of sparkle. Finally, in sterling silver, one can choose silver stud earrings. These silver studs in our earring collection are generally accented with white sapphires, but blue topaz, rock crystal or moonstones are semi-precious stones one might find in our silver stud designs. These silver stud earrings can be layered on the ear with all of the more precious stud earrings mentioned above.
